CADB

Established in 2003, CADB is UCI's first Dragon Boat team. Using teamwork to paddle to victory in this competitive water sport, CADB combines athletics and ancient tradition into a forty-foot long boat shaped like a dragon. Our team competes with other college teams as well as adults in races held in: San Francisco; Long Beach; and Tempe, Arizona. We constantly strive to become better, faster, and stronger to fight our competiton. Take some time to come out to try dragon boat, meet new people and even work out on the beach and in the water. Dragon boat meets every Saturday morning and be sure to look out for them during Orientation week!

CADC

Chinese Association Dance Crew, more popularly known as CADC, is an offshoot organization that stems from UCI's Chinese Association. Formed in 1994 and previously exclusive only to UC Chinese Club events, CADC (formerly known as CA Modern) has expanded their goals and gained a place within Southern California's hip hop dance scene with in the last several years. CADC is strictly a collegiate team, meaning that all dance members are official UCI students and CA club members. Although these two requirements have restricted many potential talented dancers from joining the team, CADC's past and present coordinators have done an outstanding job of recruiting teams with talent and most importantly, great chemistry. That bond is the quintessential factor that differentiates and has ultimately elevated CADC from the ranks of collegiate fields into the highly competitive Street Dance level. CADC stresses on having fun through competitive and exhibitive hip hop dancing. Throughout the season, CADC usually performs between 15-30 times. Their main performances are CA UCI's annual Culture Night and All UC, a tense but fun dance competition between all the California Universities (UCR, UCSD, UCSB, and UCLA) located in Southern California.

CAMA

Chinese Association Martial Arts’ primary goal is to promote Chinese culture through the martial arts. Originally the team was simply a committee devoted to showcasing martial arts in Chinese Association’s 2003 Culture Night, conceived by Danny Li, Andrew Lim and Chun-Sheng Wang. CAMA has existed as a formal constituent of Chinese Association since 2005 and has since continued as a martial arts demo team, going all around southern California showcasing many of the Orient’s finest martial arts. Many in the Orange County area have come to know Chinese Association Martial Arts as an innovative, exhilarating new breed of martial arts group. In an effort to proliferate martial arts culture, CAMA is now functioning as both a demo team and a martial arts club. Whether you’re completely new to martial arts or have been training for years, CAMA has something for you!
